Hi Justin,

Out of curiosity, I see that there's a pixel art monster animation (seen from front) in your portfolio (it has some form of green ooze/foliage on its back I think). How long do you reckon this took to make this (still + animation)?

ha oh quite some time. I would have to go look! but for all of his animations I think 5 total animations was around 15 20 hours? ish... was hard to do something so complex and keep track of each part as he moved! haha

why do you ask?

Reading his post it sounds like those hours were for everything. Not X5

20 x 30 = 600

Ah, you're right, makes more sense now that I'm re-reading this.
Rate is also much better.
Wondering if that applied to a single direction though, or whether this animates front, back and sides?

20 hours for all directions isn't very realistic. I'm pretty sure he means what you see in that exact image is what took 20 hrs. And it's some excellent animations on a really large sprite, so for the total price it's quite a steal!
