Hi All,

Do you have any recommendations for publishers that are Indie friendly?

What is you experience with a publisher and how much did they do for you?

Thanks!

Quote from: Wikipedia
Independent video games (commonly referred to as indie games) are video games created by individuals or small teams generally without video game publisher financial support.

I'm a strong independent developer I don't need no publisher.

Versus Evil, Devolver, Curve, TinyBuild are all publishers that publish ''indie games''.

To be honest, indie games is such a vague term though. Look at the games publisher under their banner and see if yours fit first.
My 2 cents.

Good names. I'd add Adult Swim to that list as theyre really starting to branch out with the games theyre publishing.

I spoke to a lot of 'indie' publishers when I first explored the option of publishing Caretaker and I must admit I wasn't that impressed. The only thing a publisher could do for you is market your game but they had better be on really good terms with a portal like Steam and the only one that is, is Devolver. All the others would just hire a PR and marketing firm which you could do yourself and in-fact I've done with my game - it's not as expensive as you think.

Whilst that is true, getting them to pay for stuff like screen at expos and Dev Kits is a huge bonus.
