I thought it was entertaining.  It wasn't extremely ambitious, but not everything has to be.  I like how it was a really minimalist retelling of a familiar story, and that the story was actually integrated into the gameplay.  Far too few games do that.

Awesome game.  Very well paced and was minimalist in all the right ways.  Surprised no one mentioned the awesome music... it's not just really good, but fits the game perfectly.

Only bit I didn't like is the very end.  I think if you're going to stray from the standard ending of the myth (which is a good decision imo) then being so vague seems hrm.  Obviously this is a matter of personal taste, but it was unsatisfying to me.  Felt artsy for the sake of being artsy without saying anything concrete.

I took the title of this game too literally, as in I tried to complete the game without EVER using the Left key. And the sad thing is I got pretty far doing so.  :D

Pretty good game, though. The music and graphics fit perfectly.  Smiley

Well, the dog can jump over you if you position yourself correctly, so he could have beaten at least it's first two patterns.

Yeah then you'd get raped by the lunge of death.

Yes. Yes, I did.

And that was 5 minutes of my life that I'll never get back.  Giggle

EDIT: I did manage to kill the dog. I don't know how I got past the lunge of death, but I think it was a mix of careful jumping and stupid luck.

Wow, Terry that was really amazing. Just enough challenge, and very compelling in terms of concept. I really liked it a lot.

Far from it, judging from some of the comments on Kongregate. Shrug

From experience, in order to keep your game developer sanity. DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYTHING KONG USERS SAY!! God, i wish i knew how to turn bugreports and shouts off..they have no respect for developers, and when they try to make suggestions its hillarious. NG reviews are much more helpful.

Anyway, i loved it! The atmosphere was brilliant, and it was really clever the way you timed certain things so you can juuuuusttt get past them after a few tries. I like that its hard, yet forgiving. the right combination for causal games.

Terry can you please PM me(or say here), how much the exclusive sponsorship was? Im interested to know for a game like this, and in the flash industry it helps immensely knowing what other games are getting sponsored for.. in return ill let you know how much a few of my games have gone for, and reccomed some nice sponsors ive dealt with. Thanks!

OH ALSO- ive had 1 or 2 people complain that the run keys in my games toggle.. its just the setup their using messes with the Actionscript or something.. i have not found a fix. i dont think its worth looking, its THEIR pc that is the problem.

My roommate told me to play this game.  As soon as I saw it was on Kongregate, I decided to wait until you came out with the stand-alone, full screen version.  I am very anti-browser based games, as I think they ruin the "feel"  Shrug

This game is very impressive though --- I enjoyed it thoroughly.  Hand Thumbs Up Left Wink Wouldn't change a thing.  Have you ever played Monuments of Mars, or Another World?  Somehow this game reminded me of them... even though it doesn't have much in common with them other than general "atmosphere."
