So we recently got our first Unreal Marketplace assets onto their store (https://www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/profile/Ironbelly%20Studios%20Inc) and thought it would be fun to show off our WIP as we go for our next gun: A Micro-Uzi!

I'll try to detail our overall methods and what we're thinking as we go from the first image to the last!

We start with a pretty rough shape of the weapon and define out all the moving parts. These parts are literally separate meshes, which will be put together in the final product for ease of animation, as well as crafting an ultra-realistic gun.

From this rough model we hone it down and start getting the first detail pass in. You'll notice at this stage we don't even have the trigger. Our focus is on the main weapon shape and stock details.

Coming up next we'll do our second detail pass, adding in the secondary components like triggers, butt-stock, and enhancing the details. Stay tuned!
