Okay, so a friend of mine started a company from work she was doing at CMU. It's called
Wild Pockets and it's another democratize-game-development-for-the-masses web-based tool for making games, roughly equivalent to something like Unity engine-wise. I have a special place in my heart for efforts like these, even though most of them suck. But I think these guys know what they're doing here, or are at least on the right track.
ANYWAY... they're doing a game jam and competition using their tech with lessons and interaction with their dev team in Mountain View, CA early next month. So if any of you are in the area (and I know not too many of you are--I'm so lonely) and want to try this out, I THINK YOU SHOULD. Maybe we can hang out, too.
