AboutMarooners is a local & online party game that offers a fast mix of mini games that are instantly playable without any prior knowledge. The main game switches those mini games around, while playing. That means one mini game gets frozen and the players are suddenly confronted with an entirely different mini game in which to continue. Each round contains a mix of 5 minigames that are being switched until they are all finished.
Our Design Goals:We want to give the experience of an easy to pick up party game, that can be played both locally and online. We all love those moments on the couch when you play with friends on 1 screen and thats exactly what we as a team wish to deliver.
Who we are:The dev team of Marooners is a mix of independent professionals who all reserve time in their schedule to work on this passion project. Our team was formed during the Global Game Jam of 2015 as a group of friends. We had an awesome synergy and within 48 hours we won first place in the Amsterdam location. Afterwards we kept on developig and found M2H (known for Verdun) to be our publisher.
