Hi,
So for over a year now (on-and-off) I've been working with artist Paul Vera-Broadbent on this game called 'Attack of Giant Jumping Man'. ‘Attack of Giant Jumping Man’ is an anarchic, retro, action-platformer whose main character is 30ft high, naked, and endowed with a magic magnetic penis as a gift from God. It’s like the bastard lovechild of Shigeru Miyamoto and Monty Python.
When we started we thought we were going to produce something really simple and 'Flappy Bird' like but the project just ballooned. We kept thinking of stuff we wanted to add and it's morphed into the full-on 'future retro' title we always wanted to make. It's been quite an experience!
We're now at the stage where we have a playable 'alpha' demo (first five levels) and have just recently launched a gameplay trailer on YouTube. It's difficult to know where to go from here to be honest - ideally we'd like to get a publisher to fund further development of the game so we can add the content we want and port to multiple platforms. It's either that or try and finish it around stuff that actually makes money (which will take forever) or lower our targets and not add as much additional content and art as we'd really like to. Difficult decisions...
