His stance really does need to change for the same reasons we changed Trilby`s stance. He can`t really pull off any kind of attack from that stance. Hell, even walking like that would be awkward.

If only the tip of the spear where in FRONT of his feet - from our perspective - that`d be ok. Not exactly a good fighting stance, but at least he could stab people instantly without much trouble. But the way it is, it doesn`t make sense and it`s not very practical either.

It's a double-ended weapon. Regardless of how he holds it, one side would be awkward to use as a weapon without repositioning it.

Not only is this not true, but also probably not valid as an argument, since this stance manages to make BOTH sides awkward and unpractical for immediate use.

the way he holds his weapon is only relevant for three moves: Skewer, Scythe and Get Over Here.

Considering he has a total of ten moves, three is a lot.

Also, I haven`t played any other Trilby games except Art of Theft, but from this video I`ve seen, Cabadath seems to grab people alot. Usually by the neck or head. Maybe it could be an attack? He could probably use a quicker, close range move to deal with characters like Nikujin.

...?
That might go a little too far. But at least it shows that the sprite can be scaled without destroying it.

You're right. That would make a big difference.

His moves should already be very fast. Cabadath's moves will have short warm-up times, but long cool-down times, just like in the original games. Scythe, in particular, should be a good move to deal with opponents that are too close for comfort.

Okay, I tried to make some changes on the base sprite, but I'm not too happy with the result, but I post it anyway.

The arm has a few errors, but I like the changes overall.

@Tuna: Your sprite looks great except that he's maybe a little too flat on his left side.

@Nightshade: Even if a grab attack isn't necessary from a mechanical point of view, it might be worth considering just to make his moves a little more varied. Perhaps his S> could be changed into a teleport-grab. The player has to teleport right on top of his opponent, and then he grabs them with one hand and... maybe some sort of electric shock or something? I imagine it something like Ganondorf's side+B.
Bear in mind I haven't played any of Cabadath's games so I don't know if this would fit his character at all.

Things Cabadath does in the games:

- Teleport around
- Walk around slooowly
- Impale people with his spear
- Jab spear at person on the ground then root it around like it was a broom
- Break someone's neck with his bare hands
- Tear someone's heart out of their chest with his bare hands

The problem with a teleport-grab attack is that it would be a lot more difficult to aim, since Cabadath's arms are much shorter than his weapon.

He could stab his weapon into his opponent, then do the throw with it, instead of his hands.

Btw, an attack which summons John Defoe could be interesting.

Tell me what games they are! Evil

Nice sprite, Tazi and Tuna, but I think I preferred how his hand was before. I think the best thing would be to have his hand like it was before, but palm outwards and the mace thingy pointing down and to the right.

...maybe.

And yes, the new hand looks too small.
