Finally made a logo I'm going to put in my games. In various color schemes, with sound and tweens and whatnot. Now, time for them games.

I have worked with soundtrack for my RPG, but I have this feeling it doesn't fit in it. Well, I think every composer feels like this sooner or later.
Right?

Saw this post, so I decided to make a small splash screen too.

Not really a game, but I made virtual graph paper yesterday. Click one vertex, then another, and then you get a line drawn between the two. I also drew a sprite to the screen. I proved to myself that I can program a graphics engine. Its still difficult.

Today, while trying to figure out what to make from a 3D game engnie I've made, I made this: Yup, that's right. I'm standing in the Majora's mask moon's mouth: . The model is created at startup from a simple heightmap

Creepy!
(lighting makes it look flatter than it is, though?)

Actually, the absence of light makes it look flat, but I have some trouble getting the lighting to work properly. As you can see, I'm having trouble smoothing out the normals:

Added a new enemy to my game. I haven't worked on it in a long time, so it was kind of nice to come back and find things working as I expected!

I don't yet, but maybe I'll try and set one up in the next few weeks. I probably won't have any playable demos, though, since I'm planning on having the game sponsored. Glad you like it!

I created a YouTube account. Now all I need is some reliable screenrecording software on the cheap - how's CamStudio?

CamStudio is pretty good for general screen capture, but pretty bad if you want to record any games. For games I recommend Fraps.

I've heard from friends that Bandicam should give better performance while recording than Fraps. I haven't tried it though. ´Today I've made a quick and dirty building mode for my "game".

As part of my current game redux, I made a tutorial screen which I think is quite nice. The mini-scene featuring little guy (below screen caption) is animated.

- A lego technic rotating platform + webcam holder
- Software to control the motor & capture webcam images
- A few plasticine pigs
- One-line image magick script
Ta-daa! A challenger appears: Now I need to remove the grayish background -> write some image processing algorithm to do that, and unfortunately I'm not quite sure how to do that.

I highly recommend green/blue screening. You can probably do the trick with ImageMagick, with enough configuration.
