This looks great at all levels. Unique and attractive art, neat music, natural-looking gameplay. Is this a gamemaker game?

The music fits really well with the atmosphere, I like it.  Creepy game (in a good way).

Thanks for the positive feedback! I'm a lot of things but I'm a programmer the least.  (maths hurts the brain-meats, makes me pee on turtls)   Hand Shake LeftDroopHand Point Left

And yes, this is a gamemaker game, built in GM6. I can't take credit for all the code, but a good hunk was built by me in 2006 for something else that I want to complete someday.  The basis was amazing little platformer engine I once found.  I wish I could take credit, but I cant.

At best I can try to paint a fascinating picture with the tools I'm given.

the "Music" is my own.  If you like it go see my other stuff in my myspace

for a very long time i've tried finding a way to capture the sense of unease and confusion that my chronic nightmares bring me, i think i might be doing something with them in this one actually.. who knows?  I shouldn't jinx myself by saying anything though since I have a habit to run away from creations I've made from nightmares.

Downloading right now. It looks great. Does it use some of the music from your "Haylon singles" or something similar? Because I really enjoyed that music.

EDIT: Just played a few minutes of it. The atmosphere is ace, and I really like the music, as I expected.  Gentleman

Just played. I really love the atmosphere. Very disturbing.. I'd say youre successful in making it feel like a dream.

Oh, and if you want something better than rapidshare that's still free, try willhostforfood or mediafire

The physics engine is awesome, however I didn't feel fully immersed after dying and respawning. I just feel like something... weirder would happen when you died.
Other then that, it was really cool and the sound the red things made when they died was too.

Awesome work so far Smiley

The jumping seems a little stilted when you do a small tap, like there's something pushing you down.  Anything but a full-height jump seems like you drop off too early.  I think it would feel more natural if you retained a smidge more upwards momentum when you let go the key.

It also seems like the arrow boosters have skinny hitboxes... you have to be dead-center on them to boost, colliding with the edge of the box does nothing.

Those are my only two gripes, the rest was pretty good.  One major problem though: the game went completely tits-up when I got to the giant eyeball boss... but that may just be due to it's wip status?  The controls became unresponsive and laggy at that point... I would press jump and two seconds later the dude would jump.  The game itself didn't seem to slow down though.
