It's called Dresden, and it's an adaption of Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughter-House Five that is very true to the book. I have spent many hours perfecting the gameplay and making sure every minute detail matches up to the story. This is quite possibly the best adaption of a Kurt Vonnegut book ever made. Although I was limited by the problems caused by using the unregistered version of Game Maker, I can safely assume that the Game Maker logo in the corner of the loading screen will only add to the atmosphere and feeling of this amazing game. Download it here.

I haven't checked the game yet, but your description is a bit obvious.

Now you have to apologize and make a real game based on Slaughterhouse Five.

Okay guys, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS. It is definitely spyware. McAfee and Avast! both freaked out when I ran it; he just cleverly put the default GameMaker icon and loading screen on his .exe to make it seem like it was safe.
I REPEAT, DO NOT DOWNLOAD.
Edit: Anyone who's already ran it, I would do a virus scan with your favorite program just to be safe. It's a pretty common worm, so any program should be able to pick it up.

Have you ever posted anything positive on this forum? I think not. Pointing out that your game is a stereotypical and boring platformer doesn't make it any less of one. The platform engine was terrible, the levels mostly boring, and the "art" was unfunny and poorly drawn.
Honestly, I would have been much more receptive of it if it wasn't full of pretentious post-modern wankery.
I guess my "constructive" criticism was supposed to be this: Start with something simple and solid before you start deconstructing the medium. Da Vinci came before Picasso, man.
This is not spyware, it is just an April Fool's joke game made in unregistered Game Maker. You want proof? Here's the GMK.Why am I feeding the troll?

He's probably just having a stupid april fool's joke.
But yes, so far this guy's giving off a very negative first impression.

Don't get too excited over him, Fuzz, he's just joking.
I played the game, and I think I want to read that book now.

You really should read the book. It's one of my favourites. Breakfast of Champions is also fantastic.

You know, why not just recommend everything by Vonnegut?

I like Cat's Cradle the best. Slaughterhouse Five was all too Dr. Manhattan-y for me.

But Watchmen came out about 20 years after Slaughterhouse-Five... I really liked all the "unstuck in time" stuff. Not so much "unstuck in tim".
