If you have AV inputs on your PC, wouldn't you just record directly to the PC anyways?

Just as an aside, one thing I'm kind of averse to is is excessive CGI (especially when you have humans switching between real and CGI). Beowulf was awesome, because it was all animated. SotC has the potential to be pretty bad, what with the amounts of CGI I expect this is going to have to involve.

On that note, Beowulf 3D is one of my favorite movies. Niel Gaimen is my favorite.

I think it could be cool. Like people said, it's already like a movie, it wouldn't take much to switch it around.
How is Shadow of the Colossus like a movie? OK, it looks cinematic, but the shape of the story is completely different. There's about 5 minutes of talking at either end, separated by 16 boss battles. There are only a few lines spoken in the whole game that aren't directly related to how to kill a certain colossus. There are only five characters, one of whom is dead and one of whom is a horse.

They are going to have to add a huge amount of stuff to stretch that into a movie story. I'm not against that on principle, but SotC doesn't seem like the kind of story you can add to without making it worse. Especially if you happen to be the director of The Scorpion King.

Careful what you call a movie man...

Watch the original 1970's Russion 6 HOUR STALKER film, and then tell me if Shadow of the Colossus could be directly made into a film.

And yeah, I got bored and didn't watch the whole thing, my little brother finished and loved it though...probably helps that he actually plays STALKER.

Video games are about the journey. Movies are (generally) about the destination. Shadow of the colossus is 16 destinations. Hence the reason I used the words "clever editing"

Oh I don't know is this the best thing ever?

Also: They've gotta work in some Reign Over Me tie-in. "Featuring the voice of Adam Sandler as Dormin!"

I think the problem is that it's being written by the "Legend of Chun-Li" guy. A SOTC movie could be awesome, but not if it's set in modern NYC with the Colossi destroying buildings while being ineffectually fired upon by the US military. And Wander's girlfriend is dying of cancer in the hospital. Giggle
