Hello all!

It was a fun week or so and I'm pretty happy with how my latest game, (Don't) Save the Princess!, turned out!

The princess has been kidnapped and the knight of the kingdom has come out searching for her! It is your job to place magical launching platforms to thwart the knight's efforts and send him to his doom (via the open mouth of your pet monster). Featuring 24 original levels and level editor!

For Windows XP / Vista only.  Wizard Hand Thumbs Up Right

It may be made in Game Maker, but it feels like a Flash game.

My main gripe was that the princess seemed completely superfluous.  I mean, the goal of each stage is the feed the monster, correct?  You have so much control that there's never any danger of the knight reaching the princess.

She's a princess in a video game and you're the antagonist.  She is superfluous.  Tongue

She's not even superfluous, she's like an ornament that you don't even take note of.

I like the gameplay, though. Pretty fun. I don't really have any complaints.

I wouldn't really say one is objectively better than the other, I just thought it was cool that you made a GM game which feels like a Flash game.
