This is the first trailer for a game i have ever seen that makes me doubt my own opinions. I can't tell what the heck I'm feeling about it.
i'm disappointed it even has action at all, considering how little his books have. tad williams' strength is his internal dialogue and settings and slow thoughtful pace, he's not known for action-packed novels. i think the game would have been a lot better if they didn't have a combat system at all, or just had some abstract puzzle-like representation of combat, and just made it almost all dialogue/exploration gameplay, almost like planescape torment but i guess games don't make much money anymore unless they're mmorpgs or fps games, so they had to pick the lesser of two evils (mmorpgs)

Random question of the day: What is that colorful triangle at the corner of DS game covers' title side? Its color changes, some of my games have purple, some greenish. For example in this picture one at bottom left:

I think it's something to do with the manual/language or something like that, I'm sure someone can clarify or disprove.

For example in this picture one at bottom left: I'm presuming that as an EU thing because on NA boxes, it's just the colored label like you'd see on a DVD box.

I've been taking melatonin to help me keep a normal sleep schedule and it's been helping, but last night I took 6mg (the regular tablet is 3mg and there's a warning that says DO NOT TAKE MORE THAN 3mg IN 24 HOURS) because I was curious, and I ended up sleeping until 1pm and had really, really, really weird dreams.

I've never taken any kind of sleep aid ever (besides getting knocked out for surgeries) mainly because I am pretty good at sleeping on my own and because insomnia often motivates me to do things I am normally to lazy to do.
but a lot of my friends have taken melatonin and they are generally pretty happy with it.
I guess my question to Nix, or anyone really, would be "is melatonin worth taking if you don't need it"
does it make sleeping... better? more restful? dream quality improved?
I guess I'm asking if melatonin could be exploited as a recreational drug ._.

It makes it easier to wake up before noon. My natural state is to fall asleep at about 3am and wake up at 12 or 1 and that's no fun. It's like half my day just disappeared. I guess I'm asking if melatonin could be exploited as a recreational drug ._.
I don't know, maybe. Wikipedia says that in tests people would take 30mg and have really vivid dreams and elderly people would take similarly high dosages and report high rates of dementia. It also says "Some unwanted effects in some people, especially at high doses (~3 mg/day or more) may include: headaches, nausea, next-day grogginess or irritability, hormone fluctuations, vivid dreams or nightmares,[59] reduced blood flow, and hypothermia.[60]" Basically it doesn't sound like a very fun recreational drug.

I go to bed between 11PM-2AM and wake up between 8 and 9 most days, so I doubt it'd help with a sleep schedule. I already have vivid nightmares, which I love. The reason I would take it would be to have even more vivid terrors but it doesn't sound like the side effects are worth it.
Ah well! Thanks for the info, Nix
