Wondering how I could add gamepad support to a Game Maker game, and I know it's possible. Anyone who's done it:
-What controller did you use? -What DLL, if any?
thanks

i just use JoyToKey. it's much easier than programming the stuff into your game. you just use whatever controller that works and configure it yourself. http://joytokey.webs.com/

There are times that I would prefer the app to support it natively tho.

If you want to add gamepad support to your own game, Game Maker has built in game-pad support afaik as I know. It involves some polar coordinates though if you want to get proper input from sticks though. I used Logitech dual action or something. But if you are talking about someone elses game, then JoytoKey or similar software are probably the best bet.

Most engines should let you write the frames to a series of BMP files. After that, just import them with your image editor of choice and export them as an animated GIF.

I used Logitech dual action or something.
I have the exact same controller, curiously. Small world. Yes I know PC controllers aren't uncommon, but most I see out there are Xbox 360 controllers for PC.

lol, give him a break. anyway, any suggestion to time travel game/movie? currently i think: -Chrono Trigger done the best in time travel game, and -Back to the Future done the best in time travel movie. because recently i watch one local-made time travel movie, like, god sent him to the future to see how his son doing when he grow up. not that bad, but just not good enough.

One of my favorite games.

FES. Got it on the download. Doesn't P3P have slightly more features though?

Not really. P3P allows you to play as a girl (and go out with the male characters), and also allows you to take control over your party members. However, it discards the 3d overworld in favor of a 2d map, which is a bit disappointing. P3FES gives you access to The Answer, which is several hours more of gameplay (you can play as Aigis). But what I love about the game (and its sequel, Persona 4) is the sense of style and fashion. All the characters have really cool clothes, and all the UI elements are really slick as well. Also, the dating sim aspects are PRETTY INTERESTING. Though its more interesting in Persona 4, because hanging out with your teammates DIRECTLY improves their utility in battle. Which is nice. Also the Evoker pistols are fucking sweet.
