There's the chance of being a scam, but eBay usually treats cases like that well from what I've heard. There's also a great lack of info in the description, but probably he wants to sell it to a journalist, so bigger the secrecy, bigger the scoop. He also leaked a few days ago alleged footage from Kinect 2's new sensor so it links, although it could also have been faked so I dunno.
It's a big lottery, but it will be interesting to know the outcome.

I'm not sure I understand why this is such a big deal that people are willing to bid over $10,000? Is it because it can give insight into the hardware of the next Xbox or something?

Yes. I'm assuming press is bidding, and if they get the console they will make a lot of cash with an exclusive news akin to Gizmodo's iPhone 4 exclusive.

I figured this wasn't worth a new thread so I'll post this here.  I haven't had any games to do music for in a while so I decided to start doing my own renditions of video game songs I like.  Lower Brinstar (Super Metroid) is the first one I decided to do.  Check it out if you're bored.     It's nothing amazing....just something I'll be doing for fun.
