Chaos Cave is the deepest cave of all.
Was it intended that I needed to backtrack my browser if I picked an option that didn't give any new links (other than the ending)? I think that happened when I picked the "colors" link. There was nothing to take me back to the previous page.

Yeah. The back button is a valid option, and I intend for it to be used in spots with no clear 'exit'. Using it elsewhere can fuck with some of the scripting. There's a Twine layout that blocks the use of the back button and it's a different experience for the user, since it forces a no takebacks sort of approach.

If you know how to source your own parts and are willing to put sweat into it, the price goes down.
You can get low-end 3D printers for like 500 dollars.
Also if you want to tool around with one without dropping big cash you could look up local hackerspaces and make contact with someone who has one.

If you just want a few things 3D printed non-urgently you can try using shapeways.

That sounds very enticing, however, not living the US might make getting parts less easy. Do you have a link to a particular guide/how-to you've seen?
