Games are interactive and therefore can't be guaranteed to have a definitive playthrough that exposes all the intentions of the maker and therefore aren't art, because art has a message. ...or something like that.

Universally a piece of art is static and how we perceive it is more important than the intended message. I think we should cherish interactive art because it allows us to react wildly differently to something that remains the same.
