To encourage myself to be more productive, I created a greasemonkey script that berates me when I go on procrastination websites (like tigsource). I'm considering toning it down, because most of the messages are less "You should work on your game." and more "Stop wasting time, you miserable fuck.".

I often hear people citing many games that I have never heard of. For example, someone asks if an art style is overused, and some people can list 5-6 games all using the same style. Where do you guys hear of all these games? Tigforums? IGF listings? CDs passed in the middle of the night in a dark alleyway, paid for with vials of notch's sweat?

Oh right. The software seems so promising, yet it's sad when it's yet another thing you have to buy. Inkscape's UI just downright sucks and there doesn't seem to be any alternative. |
