Someday all the Japanese SNES games will be in English and we can move on to working on to translating all the obscure Japanese PSX games.
I've been dreaming of playing LSD Dream Emulator in English.

I often hear people citing many games that I have never heard of. For example, someone asks if an art style is overused, and some people can list 5-6 games all using the same style. Where do you guys hear of all these games? Tigforums? IGF listings? CDs passed in the middle of the night in a dark alleyway, paid for with vials of notch's sweat?

I have played many classic games through... not romsets

Tangentially, I find it incredibly enjoyable to know that I'm living in a time where very nearly the entire sum of the video game medium was created within my lifetime, so I have had the chance to grow up and understand it all by witnessing it firsthand. I can go back and recall those old Atari and ColecoVision titles when they were new and be able to reflect on them as they were in their own time rather than simply seeing them as inferior versions of modern games. Younger generation folks who started on a PS2 or XBox can't imagine a time when Mario's blocky visage at the start of Mario 64 was a breathtaking thing of beauty unmatched in any other video game. To recall when going left in Metroid was a brilliant puzzle designed to shatter the player's preconceptions about progressing in a video game.

I don't go back that far, but my first console was the n64, and the first game I owned was Mario 64. As soon as I started playing it I knew I would be involved in games in some way for the rest of my life. When I was in grade 12 and I had a really bad day I went home and started playing Mario 64 again, I think I beat it with 120 stars in like 2 or 3 days. To be honest I think that game kept me from killing myself

If you're bored and have ~24 minutes to kill listening to a low quality dramatic reading of 19th century literature, I got such a treat for you:

A terrible thread in which two people tried desperately to assemble letters into words, and even the more coherent posts had issues putting words together

Failure to form coherent thoughts out of letters and words describes every forum on the internet.

But yeah, I read the thread before it was deleted. It's pretty representative of why I read the mancrib least of all the forums.

To all from the US, how good is Starbucks coffee? I've heard that Starbucks is opening soon in my country. If it's good, what kind of coffee would you recommend for those completely new to Starbucks?

It's pretty good for a commercial coffee chain, I've stopped drinking coffee though in the past few years due to a physiological aversion to caffeine but yeah, I remember it being pretty decent

One time I tried it out a year ago. Overprices pigswill, that's what it is. I've had better from a Keurig K-Cup.

Did you guys know that we would've vilified a German fascist named Adolf Schicklgruber had his father not changed his name?

Godwin's Law wouldn't be invoked nearly so often in that case. Or we would, but we'd just call him "Evil Chaplin" because it rolls off the tongue more easily.
