CurrentC, a payment system that uses QR codes, wants to monopolise the smartphone payment market, so the stores that support it disable NFC terminals that Apple Pay and Google Wallet use.
It also seems to potentially gather a awful lot of personal data.

So twitch now has game development as a game. So if anyone watches streams a lot, you can now watch people code. It's like 6 people or so atm. A few have cams, no one has more than around 40 viewers, but it's cool cause they have some nice looking games out there and also have some cool music.
