GRRRRRRRRRRRRR... Trying to make a GIF from a video I recorded so I can show little clips of gameplay footage. But I seem to have no means to do so. I've been trying to use Import > Frame from video, in Photoshop Elements, but it's not doing it like I want it. Instead of putting the images as layers it puts them all as different pictures which takes a LONG time to organize, to the point that it's impractical.
I just want to get the images from the short clip I recorded all onto multiple layers in the same image so I can do the GIF from there... but research didn't provide an answer to help me. My only guess is that it's my version of Photoshop? I don't know.

kinda reminds me of the the story behind the game babylonian twins http://toucharcade.com/2010/04/12/babylonian-twins-babylonian-twins-hd-a-puzzleplatformer-milestone-16-years-in-the-making/http://www.abime.net/interviews/view/interview/id/37My real dedication for this theme came during the early nineties after I saw a computer game in which you control a warplane with the goal of bombing Iraq. Putting the bombing aside (I was in Baghdad during the first gulf war and I saw the human suffering that resulted from the real bombing ), I didn't like the way they depicted Iraq in the game, as a primitive and uncivilized place. I wanted to build a game that counter that image, a game that shows the vibrant history of Mesopotamia. In Babylonian Twins, the game takes you to different historical places, from Babylon to Assyria. We relied on authentic history books to design many of the graphics in the game. (kinda sad to read this in light of what is happening in iraq now)

After a couple hours of experimenting, seems to be working pretty well. I guess I'll learn in time how to make them in better quality though. Thanks!

I remember people raising minerva den and bioshock as a way to say than gone home didn't invent anything new ... I totally forgot to point that that is the same people who worked on them who did Gone home it's an interation on idea they had by making those!

Like most people says that since the game is out, it's like the first AAA where people where so upset by the gamey part that they unanimously said it would be better just walking. Day one! It was quite a shift in perception.

btw i think binf gets too much hate in some circles. yes the story is thematically kind of dumb and also has problematic aspects, but its very well told, esp for a videogame story.

I was pretty excited about upgrading from Unity4 to 5 but then this is what it did to my animation state machines... Well, we knew it wouldn't be perfect...
After some more testing, I found that Unity 5 seems to "loose" Animator connections after updating from the Asset Store. If this happens to you, you'll see your character freeze while climbing or running.
Fortunately, the fix is pretty easy. Just close Unity 5 and restart it. Then, everything seems to be fine.

A Bioshock with no combat would be pretty fun.
Infinite sort of moved in that direction already. The first two games mixed the combat and exploration by randomly spawning splicers as you looked around, so you never really could let your guard down and focus completely on exploring the scenery. Infinite, by contrast, had discrete combat encounters that would trigger, let you kill everyone, and then let you enjoy the environments unmolested.
It reminded me a lot of a carefully planned D&D module, which I thought was a good thing.
