If it's a big man of metal then it counts as a robot. Period.
Would you argue that Transformers become non-robots when a human is driving them in their vehicle form?

its never stated anywhere that person drives a transformer, they just sit inside. And transformers are pretty much sapient lifeforms anyway.
also your definition includes monuments.

every mechanism that can do some autonomous actions is a robot the thing is wikipedia explicitly defines kurata as a "robot" that being "piloted". can i "pilot" the car? Can i be the car captain?

my point is that not much mechanisms are defined as "robots" whle that pile of shit garbage go-cart is. and some garbage io9 reddit gonna report it as "look at anime robots they made" and people gonna think its a real robot and then watch darpa challange and say that those are not real robots.

Even if, technically, piloted exoskeletons don't count as robots, they still exhibit their aesthetic. I think that's what's important. I'm mainly saying this because it sounds way cooler to say that robots are fighting instead of humans in exoskeletons.
Also, does this mean that the robots in Real Steel are not actually robots since they're piloted from outside?

CRAZY NINTENDO SPECULATION TIME
It's notorious that, if we remove teh wii hardware, that console sales across type has only decline for nintendo. People think that mean nintendo need to align with the concurrence ... I don't think this is true and a misread of the market. The market shrink for nintendo because it is much more fragmented, and historically nintendo didn't won with better hardware (see the GB long live or the wii dominance), they won with software.
And what software sales tells us? Well their game sales are either flat or growing, mean that they are consistent, in fact their is an increased number of games significantly selling above 1M, so in fact there is more money than ever before as sells in software concentrate and break record and came at faster rate. It only show that their unique offering works and they actually lost the fat.
Then their strategy shouldn't be to align with concurrence but to actually specialize even more as "Nintendo". That mean to stay cheaper and offer their brand of experience, pimping their IP by having hi quality main title and quirky spin off, that's either fan service (hyrule warrior) or experiment (tingle), that reuse asset (zelda triforce) to pace the released of main title that build and maintain the brand even if they don't sell as much (3D mario). As such they don't need big hardware.

i readed summary and they just take command from humans and can recognise and recreate moves. That some complex computing that requires ai. one of thing apparent in darpa challenge 2015 is robot feet balancing. We do pretty complex math in our brain just to stand without even realising it. Thats why enginers cant make a good bipedal robot, no ai can handle it yet. kurata has four wheels like an asshole

Very happy to see a REAL ACTUAL Swedish dialect for once, from YOUNG people, in a "BIG" PRODUCTION getting spread. People in urban areas of Sweden today seem to be unaware that they still exist.
