btw the last entry in this *amazing* series sold like 15k copies in the US. you can bet that's the real reason why this one isn't getting a western release
also people forget that a significant part of the way DOAX was marketed in west when it first came out was the "controversial" nature of the content. a big deal was made out of the "skimpy" and "revealing" outfits. even the mainstream media ran some stories on it iirc. there was actually a small wave of "edgy sexy games" in the early 00s, including BMX XXX (if anyone remembers that turd) and the playboy mansion game. after a short while people realized that that these games were crap and, for the most part, moved on, as evidenced by the dwindling sales of the DOAX sequels.
i think koei coming out with some vague ESS JAY DUBYA allusions now is maybe a small attempt to go back to controversy marketing for the series. so now instead of DOAX being a bad minigame collection that only exists because boobs, it's now going to become a symbol of "free speech" lol.

In fact That's not the one I'm looking for but I forget the reference of the other. One who actually take time to explain how doa was fine from a woman perspective. Ie the whole relationship mini game that mean you mus have consent before asking for dressing a particular way, but with bonus if you ask her for things she likes, and the fact you need to be considerate of your partner's preference a during match too, to increase relation, was more humanizing (consent! listening to the other! incredible!) than many other game.

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1148199Digitimes Rumor: Nintendo to ship 10-12m NX units in 2016, mass production in Q2 Nintendo's new game console is scheduled to enter mass production at the end of the first quarter 2016 and despite the fact that the Japan-based company is targeting to ship 20 million units in 2016, the device's upstream component suppliers expect shipments to only reach around 10-12 million units. Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) reportedly has been chosen to manufacture the device, but the company declined to comment on its clients or orders.
The new console is estimated to enter mass shipments in the second quarter. In addition to Foxconn, suppliers such as Foxconn Technology, Macronix, Pixart Imaging, Coxon Precise Industrial, Nishoku Technology, Delta Technology, Lingsen Precision Industries and Jentech will also supply components for the device.
Digitimes Research expects Microsoft's Xbox One and Sony's PlayStation 4 to achieve shipments of 13 and 18 million units, respectively in 2016, and if Nintendo's new console is able to ship 10 million units in the year, the company will then be able to maintain its competitiveness in the market.
