So a couple of days ago I bought a "Game of the Year" edition of Half-Life for about 2 dollars second-hand (in the big box and everything). I then decided to put the license key into Steam. It recognized it as a code for the "Platinum" edition. Now not only do I have Half-Life and Team Fortress Classic, but also Deathmatch Classic, Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat, Blue Shift, and Opposing Force.

Thank god for product key mismatches. My week is definitely wasted. Tears of Joy

I think Deathmatch Classic, Blue Shift and Opposing Force should be free if you've just got HL1, anyway. Dunno about Day of Defeat. As far as I know they still want money for Counter-Strike, though, and you have to get it seperately unless the box specifically says that it's included. So, either way you still got lucky Smiley

Be sure to give the HL1 mod "Ricochet" by Valve a try, it's based on those Tron disc duels and feels so very retro Smiley

I considered getting a sweet baseball bat while I was in America, to be placed in my room to serve the purpose of looking cool while also providing a useful weapon if one were ever needed. Ultimately, though, I thought that it would be too difficult to get back to England to be worth it.

Still, those things are meaty. You could do some serious damage. None of that GTA five hit bollocks.

Just get a cricket bat and hold it sideways when hitting, man.

EDIT: Also, Ricochet is awesome.  Deathmatch Classic is also awesome.

I guess this is actually worth a thread, but I don't wanna be the one writing thread titles like "HOLY SHIT GUYS TURTLES IN TIME IS GETTING REMADE!!!"

!!!

I actually wonder if one has to expect much when already in the trailer one of the turtles glitches out when all 4 are supposed to be cheering, see 0:15 Durr...?

I started playing la-mulana a couple days ago as well. I went into a tent and some old man started talking to me in japanese. After that I went to the right, and after killing a few birds and snakes (and getting hurt by leaves!?), I found some water. Not seeing anywhere else to go, I jumped in and died.

Maybe I should look at a guide or something...

I still need to play La-Mulana. I was kinda scared, after hearing how hard it was...

Joy! The t-shirt I designed for ModDB.com is now available for purchase.

Don't play Median XL for D2LOD with an ATI Mobility Radeon 7500. Sucks ass. Beside this, the mod is much better than the original game. There's even an Apocalypse skill. Wooo.

I downloaded it from tigdb, and never realized there was a english patch i needed. I've been struggling trying to play in japanese as well. Maybe it should get added to the page or something? Not sure how easy this kind of thing would be....

Or am I just an idiot and I missed it on there?

Well, this is intriguing- Nintendo's released all of the playtime data for their Wii console, and Kotaku's making a series on what gets played the most.

Now I wish there was a spanish translation patch for La-Mulana so I could force encourage some friends to play it.

I was looking through one of my huge boxes of stuffed animals and found someone I hadn't seen in a long time. Adorable Stegosaurus!

He's so cuddly and soft...  Smiley

I still have two of my dearest stuffed animals, Teddy and Girafee. Creative names, I know. I got Girafee when I was born, and Teddy from my Mom at age four. She had it since SHE was four too.
