So I've just spent like, 3 hours scouring southern Ontario (specifically Oakville) for a copy of Fallout 3. I managed to find a little EB Games tucked in the back of a mall, and it only had the collector's edition. Too bad I'm 30 dollars short of buying it. So I need to find somewhere with a normal edition. Damn this is annoying. [/rant] EDIT: Oh awesome there was a copy at a Futureshop and we now have it waiting for pickup.  |

I searched for a copy of Tales of Symphonia. It was NOWHERE nearby. However, we DID find one... 100 miles away. I almost gave up, but my mom checked again. It turned out to be EXACTLY on the path to our vacation destination (Seattle, up north of where we normally live.) So right now, I have a copy of ToS, waiting for me to get home (I'm still on that vacation! Turns out the hotel has a computer.) and pop it in. Awesome. |

yeah, Les Paul was someone I wish I knew more about earlier, not only by his guitar designs (which are marvelous, by the way. I'm still "in love" with my guitar, a custom LP with fuselage-like paint job. awesome sound.) |

Another reason not to see that movie. I was so excited when I heard it announced, but then THAT HAPPENED AND DISNEY GOT WHATEVER CHEAP TEEN ACTORS/ACTOR'S SIBLINGS TO DO VOICEWORK DISNEY WAS COOL DISNEY IS NOW BAD MIYAZAKI IS STILL COOL, BUT IF HE EVER DIRECTS ANOTHER MOVIE AGAIN, HE BETTER GET SOMEONE ELSE TO DO THE LOCALIZATION. ANYONE PLEASE When I heard how they got those shitty Disney teen stars to do the voices, I RAGED FOR DAYS AND AM NOW RAGING AGAIN JESUS FUCKING CHRIST AUGH Also, Youtube commenters are stupid. Waaaaaaaahhh this movies american theme won't fill my animu fantasies waaaaaaaahhhh. im a 40 year old virgin waaaaahhhhhh. wow what a loser you are your gonna take a english version adaptation that was still beautiful and nit pick it for a song over the credits? wtf is wrong with you god i hate anime people you ruin everything good , and u wonder why [adult swim] is slowly phasing out anime its because everyone complains there no anime and then when there is no one watches, this video just confirms everything ive believe from the start I'm sorry that American can't APPEAL TO THE ANIMU NERDS BECAUSE IT'S NOT FAITHFUL TO THE ORIGINAL. Look, they made the new theme to appeal to the wider audience to kids.
The song isn't half-bad. Give the song a chance don't get butthurt over one little change. |

Calm the fuck down Imp. I saw the movie today and you don't even hear the song until the credits. The dub was really pretty good and I enjoyed myself during the movie. Honestly, if a little thing like that causes you to rage that hard, I'd hate to see how you react when something actually bad happens.

Imp, I hate to break it to you, but those Youtube commentators are actually kinda right this time. It's just a song and it's not that bad and you don't hear it until the credits. You know, when you're leaving the place.
The dub cast has Cate Blanchett, Matt Damon, Tina Fey, Liam fucking Neeson, Lily Tomlin, along with some veteran voice actors. Also, they've always used little kids for little kid voices on Ghibli movies and they've all been great. If you're raging about one kid being a Cyrus and the other a Jonas, well, please grow up.

Imp and I were concerned that the song would reflect the quality of the whole dub- if they were willing to screw up the song, who knows what else they screwed up in the name of marketing? Luckily, a friend of mine also went to see Ponyo, and she said that it was very well-done. Thus, my faith is restored.... for now.
