Can anyone think of any indie rail shooters? None really come to mind but I know there's a fair bit of them. The only ones I know of are the Nobuyuki Forces games.

When it comes to fishing, us real men hook sharks as bait on our anchors, which now serves as the hook.

I would like to buy ocarina, but don't have money Would cost about 80 to order it to here Finland from U.S. And I'm not sure if I could learn to play it properly. Or more likely if I would have enough patience...

What's the big deal about ocarinas? Is it some hipster instrument because guitars were too mainstream?

Pretty much, yeah. They're also small, so you can wear it around your neck or carry it in your pocket.

The shipping from stlocarina.com was about 20-40$ so I'll probably wait a bit and if I'm enthusiastic after few months I'll buy one (and when I have some more cash). That one looks by the way interesting. Until recently I didn't know there was so many different shaped models. I would probably want Zelda shaped one or something like this: http://stlocarina.com/12hoteocwipr.htmlWhat's the big deal about ocarinas? I like their sound and my fingers btw hurt playing guitar and I have found it hard to do all those weird combos rather hard. Not sure if I would blunder similarly with ocarina too though But an ocarina won't get the girls, right? Maybe Zelda fan-girls

I want an ocarina where, instead of holes, you have buttons labeled up, down, left, right and A. I would know how to play it instantly (DISCLAIMER: Not really how it works). Also:

Or more likely if I would have enough patience... I would search around some local vendors and artisans. Small ocarina are pretty easy to make. I got mine from a street vendor in Oregon (It was a gift, though, so I don't know how much it cost) and it works really well! At least enough to learn to play and decide if it is an instrument you'd keep. I only know a few simple songs, though, mostly from Disney films and some Christmas tunes. Finding time to play it is tough, because the high notes are really high and disturb the pets in the apartment complex. You've reminded me that I need to practice more. I want to learn the flute section from Bungle in the Jungle.

No. It's an instrument for nerds in their late teens to early 20s who grew up with The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (and Majora's Mask). And don't even pretend there's any other reason why you want or own an ocarina. BTW the ocarina in OOT isn't much like a real ocarina at all. It's polyphonic and the notes slowly decay, so it behaves more like a stringed instrument than a woodwind instrument. Kinda like Epona controls like a car in that game, even though she's a horse. Hmm...

If I wanted an instrument that sounds like an ocarina, I'd be getting a recorder like I had to play back in fifth grade. Frankly, I suck at that and would like to learn how to play again. Why, oh why did I never pay attention in music class in 2003?

Idk. Ennio Morricone used ocarinas in quite a few of his spaghetti western scores. And most of that is some pretty stellar music in my book. One well-known example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4x7RchYCMcThe ocarina comes in at about 0:30.
