I was browsing Machinarium's WineHQ page when I read this:

Quote
What works
Nothing

What does not
Installing

What was not tested
Rest of game

Additional Comments

So sad.

But more specific:

Quote
So sad.

At first I laughed, followed by a charmingly-depressive mood only Machinarium can give you. These two words can show so many things to you, especially if you already played game. You feel sad just for playing because you know there are people who technically can't... It is... so sad Concerned

And I also feel sad for switching to Linux. I feel better as a developer and I will still have another Windows on my PC for gaming purposes, but I feel so sorry Linux/Unix elitists not beeing able to play such beautiful things. I wish I could make some developers care more about Linux users. It is a naive thing to say it. And still, beautiful things keep my thinking so. I'm not allowed to say they don't care. I feel like floating between ideology and efficiency like never before.

This is making me so sad Concerned

It's not necessarily an elitist thing, there can be numerous reasons for not having Windows or Mac OS. (Money, morality, hardware, ideals, usage...)

I just realize that heavy rain was not the first sucessful QTE driven cinematic game. Sega did it long before with more style!

I don't get why it is not appropriate among nerds to pronounce URL 'earl' but it is to pronounce MySQL 'my sequel'.

I would think that "ewrull" would be more accurate a pronunciation than earl, for one.

I'm not a native english speaker, but I tend to pronounce MySQL as "My S. Q. L." and URL as "URL", as most people I know do.

Hmm, we could pronounce URL as "you rule".   Grin Hand Thumbs Up Right

I'm watching some FF XIII videos. It's funny how several combat terms seem management speak.
