I guess being idiots and losing six months of work, then having a drunken hissy fit on Twitter and calling your customers cunts is what it means to be indie:

My god. I don't know what to say, they jumped the shark.   Crazy
"I'm indie, so I can be a fucking idiot and compromising a game that people PAID for."
"I will insult you write something bad about this!"
(Also, you know what's also a "corridor shooter"? Contra. And yes, I would pay 40$ for a "corridor shooter" if it's good, so lol)

Oh...I'm not quite sure what to say about that article...

I mean I don't really agree with the post but I don't know what it is exactly that I find wrong with it...
And I guess he's kinda right that he doesn't have to be professional but...when money's involved I suppose people expect at least a certain level of professionalism.

DISCLAIMER: I haven't bought or played Project Zomboid and am not particularly interested in it.

Anyway, it's not just about money. It's about crushed hopes. "Preordering" an unfinished indie game is both a monetary and an EMOTIONAL investment. You're effectively "loaning" the developers your money and time to help them make their (and probably your) dream game.

If you decide to get up close and personal with your customers, don't be surprised if they get "up close and personal" with you.

the way I see it when you pre-order a game, the agreement is you pay money (that's it) and you eventually get a game. anything else you invest into the equation is your own responsibility. the devs didn't ask for any emotional blahblah. so don't get your panties in a bunch if shit goes south. you have every right to cry about your measly 8 dollars but you have no right to cry about anything else. eat a dick, stop crying, go on with your life it's just a fucking video game. the amount of whining I've seen over this thing is so pathetic. humans are gay.
