On a more serious note, if you distribute executables (such as games you've made), you really should have an anti-virus program installed.

Without virus detection software how would you know that you've never got a virus? Most viruses go completely unnoticed by the user, or have symptoms that could easily be mistaken for other computer issues. |

(such as games you've made) You're so funny. On a more serious note, I just installed AVG, and ran Malwarebyte's and a few others. I've had this computer for the better part of six months and it's still squeaky clean. |

Browsers are a lot more secure than they used to be. If you're using Firefox or Chrome, you really don't need to worry that much about viruses as compared to IE7 or something.

I'm saying that if you distribute a game you've made, you should have an anti-virus program installed on your computer to make sure you're not distributing a virus. This is a message board with a lot of game developers, so when someone says they don't have anti-virus installed on their computer, that's a cause for concern in my opinion. |
