Just bought a stylus to draw on my tablet. It sucks  And apparently all capacitive stylus are like that (skip a lot, require a lot of pressure). |

From what I could gather, the storm itself won't be a big deal, assuming you already have your stuff plugged into decent-quality surge protectors. (oh, and save whatever you're working on, in case blackouts do happen)What is a threat to your computer, however, is this handy informational site about solar storms! |

Btw, now should be good time to spot auroras on northern hemisphere sky. They should be visible in extraordinary south since the solar wind is now stronger.

The cloud of particles streaming from the sun is headed for the Earth at 4.5 million mph and is set to hit us at around 9:00 a.m. EST tomorrow. Meaning today. But it will last few days, that is just the peak moment. @Player 3 Not sure if you are sarcastic or not, but AFAIK solar wind doesn't break clouds enough (or at all?) that one could see auroras if there is lots of clouds already near your location. For example it looks like I don't see anything due cloud mass on the sky  |

It's just that whenever news of solar flares or storms pop up, there are no clouds to be seen, even if the previous day yielded tornadoes.

According to the news, it hit on Sunday. Which may have explained a power cut our office had on Monday, or perhaps we weren't all wearing our tin foil hats.
