I have never heard of this before. Broadcast on satellite system, it is a sequel to A Link to the Past and featured LIVE voice acting via satellite link. Cutscenes were fully voiced (they occurred at set times and therefore all players heard the same acting at the same time), and during certain periods of time an actor requiring rescue would plead for help, which you could hear if you were on a screen adjacent to the NPC who needed rescue.

I had heard of BS Zelda, but I had no idea it had live voice acting, and certainly no idea it featured cool stuff like timed rescue events and competitive scoring.

If Nintendo did something like this these days, I'd pay serious money for it.
