[Franklins Ghost]

Just read that Al Lowe has started a kickstarter http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1451923705/make-leisure-suit-larry-come-again for a remake of Leisure Suit Larry 1. The kickstarter feels a bit forced and don't really see why they're just remaking number 1 again. Would really prefer a new good game.

The LSL publisher still has the rights and want to see them make a success of the remake before allowing them to make a brand new game. I used to play LSL1/2 back in my Amiga days so yeah I'd like to see what they do with this, plus it was a pretty short-ish game so I expect they'll be adding in a whole bunch of new stuff.

Yeah I remember playing back on my old Amiga too, good times. If they are adding to it then I guess I'll have to check it out, interested to see what they do with it in that regard and also wondering if they'll get rid of the time deadline mechanic of the original.

If this was for a new Space Quest I'd fund it. For Leisure Suit Larry, I'm lukewarm. I hope they succeed, though.

I'll buy it day one. I liked the game on my iPod Touch but felt that the loading times were too frequent and a bit slow (the black screens when you go to a place to another), but then again I've an iPod 2G so that might be what is causing it.
Plus, it will look gorgeous in my computer's resolution.

If you are getting/got a new one, keep it! There are a lot of DIYs for old iOS devices. (You can also give it to someone that you know)
Otherwise, why do you want to do that to your iPod?

Yeah, that's kinda frustrating (I use the same iPod Touch as PBS, a 2G), I can agree. But I wouldn't waste a working gadget because of that, so I'll keep using my iPod Touch 2G for some more years.*
*Except if I get to buy an iPad for development purposes, in that case I'll offer my iPod Touch to my sister. But that will also take a bit of time.

Yeah, I can't play Ghost Trick and Bug Princess on my iPod Touch, which sucks hard.
