I think traditional downloads will always exist, but I think things like Gakai and other streaming solutions may be super beneficial to indie developers. I mean, in terms of technical things, there definitely should be a way to have the streaming service map keys from the controller to the input of the game.
If the game is a Flash game or has no controller support, the streaming service should function a bit like Joy2Key which could be cool.

Gaikai and OnLive only work if you have a fucking awesome internet connection. It works great for me when I'm at Northwestern but is unusable when I'm at home. For a majority of people the service is not viable with their home internet connection.

Home internet connections will only get faster with each passing year, though.

Ping's not improving much though. Wouldn't you have to live in the same city as the servers for a tolerably short delay for an action game?

Less than fifty miles should be a tolerable distance for good ping.

I don't see streaming games being a real serious thing until 5~10 years. I've tried OnLive before in a few different places, and it just was way too noticeable.

Who's dick do I have to suck to get Retro Game Challenge 2 brought over to the West? buy tons of the first or just play guadia quest eternally, really. it's a fun game. (honestly, the only games worth playing in RGC2 are the Detective Kachou games, if you are into that kind of thing, and Star Prince. Guadia 2 is just More Of The Same)

I sent you a PM Kramlack, but it's not showing up in my Outbox, so I don't know if you got it.

I got it and replied, thanks.
EDIT: Also you have to hit "Save to Outbox" or something for it to go there. It's kinda dumb.
