Stupid "linear pathway - do what the designer plan you or die" didn't help either. I'm not sure the previous tomb raider where as rigid as the latter (didn't play much the series) but the former tomb raider has still a huge mod community, I have seen tutorial for TRLE editor up to 2013, reverse engineering of the latter game? totally ignored!

I'm disappointed: I really liked the crystal dynamics revival of tomb raider and now I don't want to buy the new one.
It's like someone announcing a sequel to a film you like, but it stars Mark Wahlberg and it's written by Claudio Fragasso

since tigs is a hipster forum im just going to go all out hipster right now.
pretty much any game you're going to see demo'd at e3 or press conferences with the exception of a few is going to be mainstream trash that follows all the latest game trends while trying to capture the lowest common denominator audience. i hope you like edgy violence/action mixed in with half a dozen features/mechanics that were featured in last years goty

I never followed the old games closely enough to discover any of their merits. So I guess this is just gonna be another game series I don't touch out of bad reboot phobia.
