For nearly a week now, I've been working away at this boss rush. It's coming along quite nicely.
Any suggestions/whatever would be appreciated. Obviously it's not going to be the greatest thing ever made, but I like it so far. I've never really worked in the program before.

Newest updates:
New boss. I think it's amazing.
New Helpers for the first two bosses.
Added burst machine gun upgrade for main gun (Available after double shot. also I know about the graphic bug involving the sign.).
Changed boss health bars to account for varying difficulty.

Plans for next update:
New player attack.
Major improvements to boss 3.
Possible new attack for 2nd boss.
Possible new attack for 4th boss.
I'll probably be updating this every day.

Major Feedback Questions:

Where can I improve?
Which bosses are too easy or difficult?
Have any ideas for new bosses/attacks? You'll get credit for anything I use.

heheh. I forgot to set it in the creation of the player.

Guess I'm updating Early...

Other changes I've made recently:

New boss.

Oh, and for anyone wondering yes I plan on having the bosses as seomthign otehr than yellow boxes.

Should be fixed now, anyway.

I think the bosses need to move around to some extent, their movement patterns could add an additional layer of complexity.  They are pretty easy as it is, and in general are too similar.  Maybe you plan on getting to this later, but there doesn't seem to be much need to plan or strategize your attacks/movement at all.  Maybe come up with a theme for each boss, such as 'use the boss's weapons against them,' or 'poison gas cloud.'

Movement patterns are indeed in my plans. I still have to add a couple new attacks to the first two bosses, and from there on I have  a ton to add.

Hokay, first off, there should some indication as to what form I'm currently in other than firing. Also, only the one that throws knifes and the one that gives a straight shot seemed to work for me. The help at the start says 1-3 changes forms, implying there are 3 but then it goes on to mention 5 forms. Do I unlock them by beating the bosses? Or do I have them all from the start?

Aside from that, all of the bosses in the game after the last one appeared as orange rectangles to me, similar to the GUI one. Is that a bug or were those placeholders?

Lastly, I could easily defeat all of the bosses by just standing close to them, hop over the occasional salve of fire and then spam knifes, so none of the bosses are particularly hard or dangerous.

Sorry for not saying anything positive I guess, but at least it's feedback :D

oh, I forgot to mention, it would be cool if there was some indicator to show how much damage I'm doing, such as numbers flashing above his head (a la World of Warcraft or something similar).  This would help me get a better idea of which form I should be in to deal with each boss.  Additionally, I usually didn't want to look away long enough to glance over at the boss health and figure out how much damage I was doing.  Just something to think about while your working!

Rectangles were indeed placeholders, they should all be out of the newest version though.

The different sprites for different weapons is already planned.

the 1-3 in the help menu was just me forgetting to edit the 3 when I added more.

While I'm making a post, might as well say what I have planned for tonight: An upgrade system! It's only gonna be in it's most basic form, however.

Maybe I'm playing it wrong, but I kill the first boss, then upgrade my movement speed, then step into the teleporter. The boss I just fought is there, but only his glowing red eye. I'm contolling two characters, one of home jitters when it hits a wall. Shooting the eye sends the boss into -ve health. It is impossible to leave the room.

Other than that, it controls well, and the boss I did get to fight had 3 attacks.

Another new version! The new boss is Amazingly fun, in my opinion. It's my most unique one yet, and despite a lack of attacks, dying is very possible. Warning: Be ready when you enter that portal. You have mere seconds to react.

This game is fun and has a lot of potential, but it is pretty broken. You definitely need to fix the collision detection, which shouldn't be difficult. Also, I think the version you uploaded has all weapons enabled...

All weapons are supposed to be enabled at start. Except the Machine Gun, anyway.

The collision detection needs work, I will concede.

Also, I'm mostly banned from the computer, so expect updates to become scarce.
