Just went in for my first Ludum Dare on the spur of the moment this weekend (much to my fiancee's dismay.)  I came up with this little bouncing-glass ball maze game I like to call, 'Balls of Legend'.

Have a see what you think.  Cheers.

The level of polish is great considering the time limit. Flat graphics are awesome and cheers for the minimal house track. Beer! Bouncing sound can get annoying at times, but the fact that the pitch changes when you hit the fall kinda neutralizes the effect.

Haven't made it through, though. At one point, the game started lagging and it was too hard to control the ball. I replayed it several times and had a chance to pass that point somehow, but lost again at some point later. At that point, I gave up.

Nice 48hour game in overall. Beer!

(edit: I guess the title of this topic is intentional - superflat's balls?)

Ah Mirosurabu I'm really glad you liked it.  I plan to do an updated version soon with better ball sounds, more levels and trap types like switch/door combos, springs, tubes, slow tiles, slippery tiles, flying powerups, ice and fire powers, multi-bonus blocks, red and blue orbs, and even two-player coop!  It may end up as an intermediate home system version, to he followed by an iPhone release. After all, isn't that what Ludum Dare is for, finding simple ideas to expand upon?

I guess you could say I'm having a ball.
