oh man glum buster ... haven't played that in a while. felt like a true sequel to seiklus presentation-wise, even though the gameplay was completely different. I wish games like this would return, but I imagine they weren't very popular to begin with. just a different style.

oh man, this game

I'm still blown away by what a thick, engrossing atmosphere it was able to create with so little. Need to boot it back up again at some point

I don't think this game is very great.
It's not bad by any means, and I get the atmosphere it was trying to achieve. It just isn't able to engross me very well because of all of these "gamey" elements.
It reminds me a lot of Knytt stories in terms of looks and the atmosphere it's trying to go for. I really like Knytt stories, but Knytt stories is at least able to give you a non-abstract reason to do something.
The actual game-part of this game isn't interesting enough to me to justify not having a narrative.
The non-game part isn't pretty enough to justify going through the other 4 worlds at this point. LIMBO started without a narrative too, and did it better.

I might be too young and spoiled to appreciate this game enough, or maybe this game just isn't that much.
I'll still play through the rest of it since it doesn't seem like it's very long. Hopefully those parts can prove me wrong.
