Or we could just make actual games based on actual vaporware titles that never made it? Something like a "continue where they left off" thing?
Obviously with bootleg names etc.
If so, I take The Cheetahmen.
I take Bob's Game. Or maybe Joe's Game.

ah, nice! i like that.
though, i vote for no mutually exclusive title grabbing. if we get 10 duke nukems then we get 10 duke nukems and that's awesome!

We need a list of vaporware games though. Off the top of my mind: Warcraft Adventures DNF Sims Online Advent Rising 2 Fallout Van Buren maybe even Daikatana (the daikatana that was advertised, not the one that was released )

This is tending more to a "The Rectification: The Game That Should Have Been" compo suggestion...

Haha, it'll be teh best compo ever I would kinda prefer focusing on Duke Nukem Forever specifically, as the comedy value is higher that way.
I agree.

I agree. However, it would be less diverse and potentially more boring

Why not?
You don't necessarily have to make an FPS. The first Duke Nukem games were platformers. You could also just slap common sense in the face and make a Duke RPG or RTS or whatever.
Or maybe even a Take-Two/3D Realms Sim game where you have to make your employees stop playing WoW and actually make your goddamn game.

What if we just don't like Duke Nukem? I just think ONLY Duke Nukem would be kind of limiting. We'd also get a lot of really similar games. And maybe some lame fangames.

So? One great game outweighs ten bad ones.
