multiplayer has definitely kept this going longer than it otherwise would for me, as soon as health got added me and a few friends rented a server and it has extended the life of the game insanely.

Does anyone have any tips for building an underwater glass house? Would you dig out a large hole, build the palace, and then fill it up with water? Or would you start under pre-existing water... I've been working on an underwater tunnel, but sometimes certain spaces won't allow me to place a glass block due to what appears to be a particular kind of water flow. As a result, I did kind of a round about thing to make it work and I can't help but think there are more efficient ways to do it Yes, build quickly! http://notch.tumblr.com/post/2623477410/strategy-meeting-day-resultsAt best you'll be watching blocky fish pass by the glass.

anyway, if that was true it would be pretty awesome. water is pretty much the safest place at the moment, but to have some "deep sea" areas, with really massive creatures would be awesome.

While we were doing this, there was a film crew on place (since Monday, actually), documenting and interviewing. I’m not sure if they want it to be secret or not, so I won’t say who they were yet. It was great having them here, though. Indie Game: The Movie? I'd love to get a look behind the scenes at Mojang.

I don't think IGTM had the budget to go all the way there. Maybe they sent an agent?

Saw this interesting pic on reddit on how mine cart boosters could work: I care less about the booster part as I do about the prospect of windmills (and the use of power they generate), especially if they were required in grinding wheat <3

I know I've seen that picture a while ago, but everything about it is awesome. From "real" boosters, to being able to get and using energy in those kinds of ways, and the potential to have access to wind power, steam power, nuclear power, etc...
*cough cough get on it modders!*

Windmills are something I've thought about a lot in Minecraft. Well, more specifically, a system where you can connect moving/rotating parts together to make machinery. A water mill makes more sense than a windmill I think, because Minecraft has flowing water but it doesn't have wind.
I can't see how stuff like this would ever actually happen, though. Technically speaking, moving or rotating blocks would seem to be way beyond what the engine is designed to be good at.

Sadly, redstone already provides all the power you could need. So something like a windmill for power seems very unlikely. Not saying I don't love the concept....... Because I really really do.

Maybe it'll be an alternate power source? or a mechanical source.
Perhaps there will be an engine or etc that can be toggled on and off by redstone, but needs power from a windmill or etc.
