I would like to be able to have a pig in my inventory, so I can truly "get pig" in an unambiguous fashion.
Edit: and I'm sorry that this weird meme is now forever associated with Minecraft for me.

That sounds kinda strange,... Would be cool if you could lift pigs, though (above head, zelda-style). I would love pig saddlebags with inventory!

I can confirm that mushrooms are extremely broken in so many ways.

What do you guys think of the idea of unbreakable tools that are only as effective as stone tools but still expensive? Like what if that's what gold tools were like. Oh and while we're at it, buttons keeping things powered for a bit longer, and tree saplings planting themselves if left in a appropriate area would be pretty cool!
Yes, do these.

Yeah, consumable resources that doesn't regrow?! For shame Notch. I find that when you put in consumable torches we'd run into the same problem, actually.

it would make mining quicker

adminium pickaxe and while we're at it I think I'll be needing adminium armour so I can use my exploding pickaxe without dying

Now it's possible this has been suggested, and I have no clue how it could even be implemented in multiplayer survival, but it'd be nice to have a craftable bed that would skip time ahead to morning, with or without restoring health, depending on how game-breaking that would be. I mean, if I'm just gonna hang out in my bunker till morning anyway what's the difference?
Dwarves get to sleep in beds, what about me?
Plus, how terrifying would it be to wake up and realize you left the door open and there's a creeper standing over- BOOM

I always through that'd be an intended feature. You could play with the map settings in indev, why not alpha?

I think mods in general will eventually be supported/intended ...
Anyway, I hope that some of these weird terrain settings make it in to the final game; I'd love to walk a long way and suddenly see wildly different landscapes like this.

Yes, do these. Yes! Replacing tools all the time is so tedious. And since stone and wood are absolutely *everywhere*, it doesn't exactly accomplish anything gameplay wise.
