I'm going to start working on the AI for a simple game I'm making where 2 characters try to push each other out of an area. The 2P is working but still a WIP, you play it here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/226993/PBTV.htmlHeres a gif from an earlier version I made for ScreenShot Saturday: dig the funny movements so far! =) i am still working on this

the painting app I'm working on now supports layers. every frame you create, has the same number of layers. they are rendered together during animation loops. If the animation is playing, you'll continue to edit on that layer across frames.

I'm seeing snakes and rabbits and a cat or a dog chasing it's tail and words I can't make out, when it hits me that you're drawing with letters.

Just finished this in December! Check it out!
Damn, and I thought my sprites were small. By the way, this thread is for stuff currently in development, not finished game announcements.

Games I'm currently working on and are very much WIP, but I'm not really sure where I'm going with them and also if I have the programming skills to actually produce what I want. I'm using Game Maker for the moment, because everything else confuses me, and I'm not a very good programmer. Title: Snodger Gameplay: Basic platformer/RPG(I guess). Current status: Working on it now, and development is going smoothly. Is in Gameboy resolution, and originally I was sticking to the same colour palette, although I've now changed my mind and am allowing a little bit of room for the colours. Title: Magic Sun Gameplay: Take 8 men and a small camp area and build/mine etc. Inspired by Dwarf Fortress. Current status: On hold until I'm a better programmer.

It's hard to show it, but the screen goes left or right, and I don't know how to resize the images for the board, so there seems to be a lot missing. It also does some cool paralax with the trees in the background. Unfortunately I'm still clueless with most of it. I have a .gmc with just tons of artwork and general resources for it that I haven't even used yet. I'm not experienced enough to jump head first into something this complicated, and that has been a major mistake. But it's in dropbox, safely. So when I do develop a little bit more programming skill and gain more experience, I'll dust it off and start it again. Another screen from the title (though it's exactly the same setting as the other) By the way, Caiys, I've been following you on Twitter for a while now (@astronautsonny. I was lurking around here for ages and saw your screenshots and had to follow you!

Oh golly thanks you meek. I was actually in exactly the same position as you since I don't have a coding background, you just have to start small and work your way up. The first thing I did was figure out to use arrays for inventory. Once you've learnt how to store and load simple 3d arrays you can then apply that to everything else, like storing data for randomly generated terrain. Just got to dive in. p.s. i can't see you on my follower list. i actually deleted my twitter a year ago before making it again so i might have cut you off or something

Woops, my fault. I stopped following a bunch of people a while ago, and obviously mistakenly unfollowed you! Well, following again.
Yeah, the arrays thing I've just started dabbling with myself. I've recently implemented a Pokemon style text box dialogue thing, using the basic text[1],text[2] etc system. Is definitely helpful!

Clan creation screen for Magic Sun. All the names are generated at the start, but I haven't done all of them yet.
