Please, please tell me that's not pixel art, ANtY!!!
it's actually not, it's just very zoomed out, here's ~1:1 zoom (rmb -> open for full res) (and dang, do I like watching gifs/videos from this kind of 2d terrain editors!) @shellbot: thanks : 3

Been working more on the terrain editor yesterday and today. It's getting better, and now it updates in real time both in the editor and in game (Unity)!
Nice work!

k20: The Video Game --------------- thread: hub location for our new project: (devlog here - From Ashes to Ashes) That is absolutely lovely. Reminds me a bit of where I grew up, just slightly more ominous. Heading over to your devblog now.

finished reworking how water looks... previously it was always transparent... now you have to jump in to make it see-through

@orange08 - Cool. I like that effect, I think, but since it's not transparent until you actually enter it, I think you can't really put anything hazardous in the water without warning. Just saying level design's more important with it like that, I guess.
@narasu - Nice start. Are you going for any goal in particular, or just something to mess around with at the moment?

Mech combat... Love it! There is always a place for more bad ass mech games. As for what I'm up to, basically figuring out RPG Maker MV. After being married to Mac products in 2009 because of the art program I got in, using any windows software wasn't going to happen. Though because of it's release not to long ago, I can finally start messing around with RPG Maker (yeah, I could of not been a lazy bum and figured out Unity a while ago). Nonetheless, my focus now is breaking down the components of RPG Maker with making small demo games with no particular use other than testing out ideas, while piecing together more of an idea I have had for an RPG that has been in the works for a couple of months. Little by little I intend to get things to a solid point where I can share builds and get feedback. Chances are the game will be no more than rough draft even when I complete it because I'll probably want someone else to help me polish it later on. Also taking the time to play a crap ton of RPGs and trying to pin point the pros and cons while coming up with more ideas.

Just saying level design's more important with it like that, I guess. That would be a good point... except that the game doesn't have any real hazards... There is no player death whatsoever. It's a bit like Seiklus.

I just want to make a small jumper/super meat boy type of game. Nothing really special as this is a small project

Well shoot. I have no choice but to finish now o_O You might change your mind when you see it in action though. Here is a 2 min video of our first play-session (where none of the rules were coded in): Here is the entire twitch stream clocking in at an hour and a half. Oh, and thanks :D orange08: Fading in and out the water transparency does a lot for how I feel about water. I like it! I do agree with SolarLune, that it does spawn additional considerations as to what you place in there. narasu: Looking cool, the dash looks like it would be very satisfying. Looking forward to seeing where you take this further.

You guys sit on a gold mine. That's just my opinion, don't want to pump you out about nothing, but from what I can see now... this can be something big. If i were you I would call this a Beta version and keep adding stuff. Really enjoy it, big up! Doing some test animation with rotoscopy for my game Your game had me from the first time I saw the art, shit, I even used your artwork as a inspiration for my day to day work for some time. I have nothing but love for your game. Keep it going!
