Some progress on Planet Z - we've added some simple buildings. We're not particularly proficient modellers, so you'll have to excuse the model quality. Click the image for higher resolution. Looks rather swish. :D Have you tried the sketchy shader on the buildings instead of cartoon shading? Might look too busy, but if it worked I think it would tie in a bit better with the planets.

We tried it on a somewhat less complex building we made earlier, and it didn't look all that good. We've not made a UV mapping for the one in the screenshot, so we haven't tried applying hatching to it. Perhaps it'll look better. It's entirely possible we'll try hatching buildings again, but for now, we should probably focus on the game rather than the graphics. Ought to be done with this by the end of the semester, really. It's going to be tight. Thanks for the comments!

Hello this is Pencerkoff Not everyone around here appreciates turn based strategy, but I for one want to play this game. But don't you think it's odd having the tank represent 4 instead of 5? Just a thought anyway. -PENCERKOFF

We're working on a Super Metroid type adventure game with some heavier shooter action. Here's a Very early screenshot testing out some gas grenade effects: We're blogging about it pretty regularly on our website: http://www.graduategames.com/blog Come on by and give us your input!

Sadly, scripting in Unreal seems too ridiculously complicated for me to manage anything beyond slight modifications to existing classes.

Magics sounds about right! Oh yeah, and using that "Big Chief Henry's Indian String Band" song in Runman was fucking brilliant!
