From my current project, interim name "Steam Powered Flying Battleships".

I am currently working on the sepia noise shader, I've finally managed to make it show some color while still retaining some of that "old film tape" feel.

Don't have anything to show, but I'm currently working on an engine for IF games. This one is... a little different, though. You don't solve puzzles with objects, but the attributes of objects. Basically I'm hoping that by the end of my developing it, I won't even know the ways you can beat it, because there will be too many objects. Am also gonna be experimenting with some procedural generation stuff.

Imp, your avatar is currently my expression. I'll be sure to force ask my friends to buy it so I can play it on their xboxes Grin

I like Spelunky, but not as much as I like Derek's avatar. Power tash.

Looks sweet Smiley  Could be fun to change the amount of color dynamically, the 'before' version has a nice moody vibe to it.

Hi-res spelunky is looking lovely, too!

Since the game has changed quite a lot in the meanwhile, I thought I'd better post an updated visual guide:

I think the butterfly wings don't look quite right, but the other one seems fine.

I like the butterfly character better but the animation does look a little off.

Yeah, I'm struggling a bit with animating her wings...I tried what I thought was a more natural movement, but it ended up that they sort of strobed on and off in a weird way.

well butterflies bob a lot so that would be pretty annoying in game. Perhaps you might get more luck with a faster movement like this quick shitty mockup here..

or a much slower floaty movement with about 5 times the number of frames.

I think that makes it look more like fast-beating insect wings than butterfly wings, that tend to beat slower. At least I think so.

And Derek, in Spelunky HD's screen, the vines on the jungle levels don't look like they're tiling very well, and the tree looks too obviously mirrored. Hope you can fix those little tidbits, but otherwise it looks awesome.
