Unfortunately, I have not found the forum topic for small prototypes, so I post my game here. Made for two evenings
In this prototype you must run.

After reading this thread, I had this idea of a game where the graphics were prone to old NTSC artifacts/bad TV distortions (color bleeding, flickering, tracking problems, etc). So I messed around a bit with Pixel Bender filters and that's what came out: http://megaswf.com/serve/1044647. Graphics are from meadowsweet's Assemblee assets (on that note, are we allowed to use those, and if so under what terms?).

I've always wanted to play around with something like this. You did a really good job.

(on that note, are we allowed to use those, and if so under what terms?).

Assume no commercial use unless you contact the artist about it before hand.

Thanks to boredom I started working on a metroidvania type game. At this point I'm not huge on being original, I just want to finish something for once.

Wow, that is nice. I'd love to see a whole game with that filter and others

It would be neat if the flickering went to music or something but it looks really cool as is.

BoxedLunch: could pay to do some studies of anatomy and pilot gear before pixelling, doing some sketches first to get comfortable with the subject, it looks pretty rough :/

walk cycle! kind of a determined "walking to my space vehicle pod  prior to launch" thing, or maybe it is more of a dance shuffle?
I really want to make an alternate where it is all slow low gravity looking... maybe i could handle player controls with basic physics somehow ?
