My team and I are attempting to tackle an episodic IF-type dealio.

Right now the engine looks like this:

And sprites look like this (these ones are cropped):

Layering/sizing/script parsing is working, so next we've got to work on asset loading. DevBlog is here http://www.exitcorners.com/ and has a few more (full) sprites and I guess some insight on design n' stuff.

Development is going a little slowly, but progress is progress.

@Percon - Well-drawn sprites. Nice.

-CROSSPOST!-

I'm not sure if this has been done before, but a pixelly third-person shooter kind of game.

THE WAR AGAINST THE POTTED PLANTS HAS BEGUN.

The game's got a red tint that should probably not be there...

It's better that an easy mode be too easy than too difficult.

Have you gotten anyone who isn't familiar with the game to play it recently?

Because doing one game wasn't hard enough we wanted to do an other "small" one on the side Wink

This time its our game designer with zero coding skill that's getting his hands dirty ( using Stencyl )

Concept Art

This is the game after working +- 10 hours on it

*top is the old, bottom is the new*

working on redoing the locker room background for my game. I'm adding a lot more details and putting more thought/balance into the overall composition. I wanted to light the locker room dramatically and symbolically. you see, the entrance is on the left where the most light is coming from. as you go to the right, the background is darker. Dingis doesn't like PE, and hates having to change clothes even more(he's fat, so everyone makes fun of him)

I'm going to add other things like shirts/shorts lying around here and there, probably a box of lost gym uniforms in the foreground somewhere, a vending machine if I can fit it in there(which, if I can fit it in, will be functional but have no purpose to the game, of course that's if you can find $1.00 around here) I'm still thinking of things to add, though. btw there will be several NPCs that change there clothes in the background and walk off screen if you wait long enough.

Thank you :D
yeah the perspective is a bit wonky because only half the screen is visible at once. Once you walk past 290 on the left, the screen pans to the right. if you walks past 340 on the right, the screen panst to the left. I was thinking about splitting it into two seperate screens, but I wanted to have a scrolly screen.

though I might change the lockers on the right to be more in perspective.
