While I like the balloons, I find the tiles really unusual and cool, so I'd try and match things to them maybe?  The colours are sweet in particular.  The balloons suggest something naturalistic, steampunkish maybe, whereas the tiles combined with the backdrop are other-worldly which is a more unique look in my opinion.

i totally dislike the balls, everything else: bueno
my favorite part of this is the color scheme - it's lovely
the block tiles remind me of fez

I can see the resemblance. Doesn't surprise me either because I've been in love with Fez for a long time.

The balls are out. Now I have to come up with an appropriate explosion design. A character that fits the alien design of everything else and matches my drawing ability (or lack thereof). Also, something more interesting to have in the background.

I am now taking suggestions. For everything.

It is fully editable and explodible a-la-minecraft, but looks like Mirror's Edge! Yay!

Don't know about the gameplay, tough, but it should feature some shooting.

In other news, I've really just got to do the "game" part of this one and then submit. Interfaces are going to be nightmarish to code but I've still got 11 days... Still, I need to get cracking.
