Meh eh eh eh! It's ready! That game I showed there is ready, get it from www.hempuli.com/FIG

Put that in the Feedback forum to get more attention. Smiley

Oh well, I guess I'm not working on that one anymore. Thanks Wink

Gettin' close to the end of the project now, with some tutorial messages and stuff. All I really need now is end of level + treasure tally screen, I think.
Oh, and sound and music.

Thankee Smiley It's actual split screen. Both players get a title screen and stuff to kind of simulate game boy linkup a bit. Playing on your own is a bit awkward at the moment since you have to keep switching to the other controls on the keyboard, but it's still possible to play. Then again it's not really intended for single player so that's probably ok.

Hi,
am new here but figured I could say stuff.  I'm currently mostly working on my project 'Hero - Celestial Force' which is a sorta retro exploration shoot 'em up.  Still also tinker with the engine for my remake of the old game 'Into The Eagle's Nest' and I been doing a few bits of code for a single screen platformer called 'Booze N' Balls'

All three of those are shown in this image which I use as a sig on some forums

Also I have a little mini-topdown shooter I had put off for ages but added a bit to recently.  http://carnivac.co.uk/temp/explodetest.png  Yeah he's just blowing up crates currently since it's only a WIP engine (that I haven't even finished laying tiles down it seems at the top).

Most of these should have been finished now, but it's only recently I got to move to a place where I can actually concentrate on stuff and get sleep at night.  Also it seems I don't have a logical mind so it takes me about a thousand times as long to code stuff in Game Maker than most people.  Ah well.

real art looks like the mona lisa or a halo poster and is about being old or having your wife die and sometimes the level goes in reverse

Is ok.  I often forget about it too.  The engine is pretty fun already but I can't seem to decide on the ball kicking mechanic/physics.  Doesn't matter too much right now though eh?  Hero - CF is the priority.  By the way I need a lil bit of more your assistance regarding the code ya did for me aligning the bullethit effect with the walls.  When the game was just left and right shooting it worked great but now it's eight way the code still always puts it at the side of solids which looks a bit wrong.

Thanks for the welcome.  Hm, it has been a whiiiile now eh?  So much for the two week project the engine originally started out as back at the end of November 2006.

Opening reminded me of the Quake soundtrack a little.  Really like the feel of it.  Really strong dude.

Working on two games in my (very very limited) free time.

One featuring zombies (yep, another one) with graphics influenced by Puit Wars for the characters (I hope oneup won't mind about me ripping his character's silhouette - it's more like a tribute Wink) :

Another one focused on exploration (any Jasper Morello fans ?).

Now that's just awesome. I love the style.

Is the tree procedurally generated? It looks extremely detailed.
