@Connor Looks great, love the main character.

After playing Terraria and having a Goblin Invasion in-game, I decided "man, that'd be really fun as just a game itself." So I've started work on this. As of now, you can pick up tiles, break them, place them, and there's a test monster that you can sort of shoot. Coming all pretty well.

Hey wait a second... cave story healt-
oh, work in progress images. okay then.

I know, I just love Cave Story and wanted something in there in the mean time. I'm not an artist so I just needed something quick until my artist gets done.

Also fixed the link.

those are nice tiles!

Some randomly generated model, using python and blender's skin modifier, and throwing random values into the vertex radius and position.  Fun.  Eventually it won't be so random, and hopefully generate some usable models.  Maybe procedurally generated textures and animations?

Just finished making the menu system for Super Mafia DuDeS.
Wasn't too terribly difficult, thankfully.

I am working on a physics system for foliage and grass in my game. This way I can make the grass tiles be affected by wind or the player walking through it... It looks funny on these 8x8 tiles, but I really like it in motion. Here is a screen. Heres a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Q6wE992BgQ

Looks great, so i watched your preview video. Heres my tips:

- movement is a bit sudden/fast compared to the animation, smooth it out a bit
- inbetween the jumping/falling animations so it is more fluid

Apart from that it looks really cool, interested to see where you go with it Smiley

Thanks for the feedback on the old videos! Smiley Do you mean the movement of the camera or of the player?
I fear that If I would smooth the player movement, it would not feel responsive enough. I like it when I play a platformer and I feel as if the character is directly reacting to the input of the keyboard, instead of being accelerated and slowing down (even though it is doing that to a small amount right now). I will increase the smoothness and check it out though. By the way, I added a link to a video in the post showing the wind stuff in action.

EDIT: @dek - That's 3D, isn't it? It's looking pretty awesome! I like the colors you chose! Grin
